The handle side dampers are for fitting to the edge farthest away from the hinges
The hinge side piston dampers are much firmer and are used near the hinges
The dampers on this page are the softer handle side type

Pushed into the cruciform plate which can be screwed to the inside of the carcase
Supplied with the cruciform plate so you have the choice of how to fit the damper.
